The Super Bowl may be over, but one sports betting site’s
latest campaign is hoping to stir up excitement for the sports that take place the rest of the year.
Hard Rock Bet’s new campaign takes into account just how much football fans mourn the
end of the season by initiating a rallying cry for fans to embrace the next betting season. The rallying cry? A comedic twist on Gloria Gaynor’s classic “I Will Survive.”
In
the hero spot created by 72 & Sunny, seen here, a forlorn-looking man sits in his car post big game, listening to the radio as rain pelts the
windshield. Gaynor’s hit comes on and the man breaks into song, except the lyrics now reflect his post-game sadness. The song, “I Bet I Will Survive” now contains lines such as
“At first I was afraid, I was ‘betrified’… football’s over and it’s like a part of me has died inside. I open Hard Rock Bet and then I still belong.. I bet
strong.. let’s turn this offseason on.”

“The end of football season always leaves fans feeling a little heartbroken, so we wanted to flip that emotion on its head and invite
everyone to turn the offseason on with a high-energy, feel-good anthem,” said Lauren Varnas, vice president of brand marketing at Hard Rock Digital, in a release. “’I Bet I Will
Survive’ reminds fans that the fun doesn’t stop when the Super Bowl ends — it just shifts. There’s always another game, another moment, and another reason to keep the party
going.”
The campaign launched on social media immediately following the Super Bowl, with both :60 and :30 spots, that run regionally as well as on paid social and digital streaming. The
song, “I Bet I Will Survive” is also available via streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Pandora, Tidal and Soundcloud.
