Greensboro, NC-based marketing agency Sales Factory has
been acquired by Rob Belk for an undisclosed amount.
Belk, who becomes CEO of the agency, is a member of the Belk family that owned and operated Belk department
stores for four generations until the company’s sale in 2015 to Sycamore Partners for an estimated $3 billion.

Sales Factory was founded in 1984 by George King and at
the time of the sale his son Ged King was CEO. He is staying with the agency as Chief Revenue Officer and equity partner and will focus on business development and supporting the
leadership transition.
The agency said it would continue to operate under the Sales Factory name.
The firm’s services include research, branding,
strategy, creative, content development, digital and ecommerce.
Clients include Cheannellock, Primo Water, General Electric, Tempur Sealy International, Reynolds,
Fruit Of The Loom and WD-40.
